AWS EFS

Implements File Storage.

IaaS

Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) is a fully managed, elastic NFS file storage service that can be mounted concurrently by many EC2 instances and containers. Capacity grows and shrinks automatically as files are added or removed, with no provisioning required. It is well suited to shared file workloads such as content repositories, home directories, and lift-and-shift applications that expect a POSIX file system.

Capabilities

  • Concurrent mounts from many instances
  • POSIX-style file semantics
  • Grow capacity elastically
  • Standard NFS/SMB protocols
